Tom Sefcik Dance Hall was a hot spot in 1979 and we choose it to host our 40th reunion in 2019. The dance hall opened in 1923 and not much has changed. In 1979 it did not have air conditioning and that night we were glad that was one of the upgrades. We rented the top floor, which meant climbing up the listing, creaky narrow stairs or taking the freight elevator designed by Tom Sefcik sometime in the 60’s. Added to the colorful lights strung across the celling and the vintage signs on the walls the reunion community placed Wildcat banners, signs, and balloons. We were ready to celebrate.
